| What's the first manga you ever picked up?
For me, it was Fruits Basket... and to be honest, it was kinda forced on me. I didn't like the art at first (never been a fan of huge eyes) and the idea of reading a book backwards pissed me off. I was 11, btw. And the 3rd book of Fruits Basket had just come out. I read all three on a swimming dock at camp. And yes, I yelled at my friend Liz "Did that guy just turn into a cat?!". Also, for giggles, at first I though Shigure was a woman...

| i...... oh god, i cant remember.... ive read so many. to be honest, i think it was either yugioh 0 or one piece in shounen jump. it was maybe when i waaaassssss.... 12? 13? fuck i have a bad memory. ive read so many!!! i can tell you my first anime was yugioh. :p my friend was crazy about playing the game, but i just liked looking at the cards, so i had around 200 of them ^^; as for favorites or art style, i really liked fairy cube. its short, and you would think something about fairies would be instant shojo, but it actually has alot of action and ancient folklore involved, and the art is absolutely gorgeous. it almost has some sort of gothic quality with the dark, pointed lines, especially around the eyes. | |

| Fruits Basket at age ten. It was a gift. And the fifth one, so it made no sense. But I really liked it. And it was new to me. I wan't used to comics with SWEAR WORDS. It was like a guilty pleasure for me. My first cosplay was from Furuba, too. XD I still love it a lot. And I had NO idea how to pronounce the names. I called Shigure SHY-GURR for a long time. XD
But yeah. My first manga and cosplay were Fruits Basket.

| My first manga series I ever got into was God Child. Still one of the best one's out there its absolutely beautiful (in a horrible graphic sort of way) They never made it into a anime , and I think it should stay that way. The people who created Kuroshitsuji def copied off of God Child, except GC is a better series. ^_^ Just be prepared for fan service.... yaay | |

| very first manga, had to be Godchild and Hellsing, I love kaori yuki's art style, (the artist of Godchild) but her stories really aren't for the faint of heart,(murder, gore, horror, etc in a Gothic Victorian fashion) and Hellsing,..... its Dracula fighting Nazi zombies, whats not to love?!?! | |

Anyway, the first manga I ever read was Fruit's Basket, and the first book was the 5th, because that's the only one Charlotte had at the time. :D

| I can't seem to remember exactly what my first manga was, but I know it was something my older sister made me read when I was much younger. However, I do remember that the first manga I ever bought for myself was Loveless. <3 Yeahh, my sister got me into some crazy stuff at a very young age, and she was my biggest role model. XD Can't quite tell if that is a good or a bad thing~. | |

| Ahh, my first manga was Fruits Basket. I started reading it in third grade, they had a lot of manga books in the library there. Fruits Basket was a great starter, I still love it and plan on cosplaying Tohru Honda on Sunday at Portcon. ^^ | |

| Oh god... I think mine was fullmetal alchemist, or fruits basket... I was really into fullmetal for a while, then I learned there was more to the story. I remember back in the day when my friends and I would read any manga we got our hands on because we wanted to out-do ourselves, so I don't really remember...
It also could have been Ceres or something by that author...
